The Canadian Government Could Eliminate Debt, Improve Health And Begin To Improve The Environment In Less Than 6 Months
This is done through an elaborate scheme of tricking the citizens into consenting to be governed through things like birth certificates, social insurance cards, driver’s licenses, health cards, etc., all of which you apply for (beg), submit (transfer liability to) and give up your capacity for rights and duties in exchange for conditional priveleges. Essentially, you are giving up your sovereignty (right to self governance) and transfering it to them. In this way, the government now has the rights you gave up so it can do anything it wants to you, or on your behalf, including plunge you into perpetual debt.
I won’t go into how I think the Government is a religion and how the legal system is a secret society here because it would dilute the debt problem I wish to address. I’ll leave those for separate articles I’ll post later and link to from here.
My solution would be to give the citizens back the power that has been stolen from them and allow them to create their own debt-free money in the following way:
In today’s economy, a single mother walks into a grocery store and is forced to buy food with money based on debt. She’s struggling under this debt load so she has to buy cheap noodles and canned pasta made of chemically laced, highly refined garbage that’s in toxic packaging. She’s stressed just trying to feed her family, she’s forced to feed her kids garbage which affects their overall health, their performance at school and numerous other negatives.
But what if she went to the grocery store tomorrow, filled her shopping basket with nutritious vegatables and fruit, walked up to the cashier who scans her groceries and left the store without paying? Stealing? No, because by feeding her family, the government deposits the $50 into the store’s bank account… the very act of consuming food just brought that debt-free money into existance. The store has the money to pay the farmers for food they grow, to pay the rent, the cashier, make a profit just like they do now, and the single mother and her kids get to eat healthy, reduce stress, etc.
The money that’s created is never borrowed. It’s brought into existance by consumption.
At first, it would only be healthy food and and to ease the transition for all involved, the Government can tell producers of toxic food and packaging that if they meet certain health and environmental standards, their products can go on the new system, which would be to their benefit because when people can get stuff for free (for lack of a better word), they’re going to “buy” that rather than junk they have to pay for.
In time, this new system of consumption creating money would be expanded to include other products, like soap, shampoo, bathroom tissue, electricity, fuel, etc. But not things like cars, houses, apartment rentals, TVs, etc. So people would still have the incentive to work and be productive in order to pay for the things they “want” rather than the things they “need.”
With all the technologies, systems and software currently in place, it would only be a matter of tweaking things to fit the new monetary system. The administration and facilitation aspects taken care of by the Government would be more complicated since rules would have to be changed, measures taken to prevent abuse, connecting with the banking system and the new measures they would have to take, etc. But with the current size of Government there’s already an army of people to make it happen. And I believe that within about 6 months, they could be ready for a trial run with about 20-50 products.
The above rapidly solves or at least begins to solve the following:
Noboby goes hungry or is deprived of healthy food, even the homeless. Yes, even the homeless are creating debt free money and value, becoming productive members of society just by their very existance.
By starting with food, and healthy food, you’re promoting healthier eating, which results in less health problems in the future.
By encouraging companies to produce healthier food to get into this system, the overall quality of food available to everyone increases, and by encouraging less toxic packaging that’s also more environmentally friendly, well, the benefits are obvious.
I could type all day about the advantages and details of such a system, but since one cannot forsee everything, I’ll end it here and leave it up to your imagination.
I’ll acknowledge here that this idea was inspired by a similar idea another person had, but I won’t link to their site or mention their name because they are trying to set up their plan as a club, where you have to pay a membership to join. It is clearly for his own personal gain and he knows that when you have to pay and submit an application to get a membership, by it’s very nature it becomes a privelege with conditions, and after reading the first couple paragraphs in this article, you can see where that got us.
I believe that for freedom to truly exist in a free and open society, the people need to be creating both the value and the the currency. If they themselves are the currency, rather than being the ones creating it, they will never be truly free.
