Paul’s Picks: Bird Flu, Bank Crimes, Big Pharma & Non Linear Time

Long, long ago, I would post a few interesting links here on the blog on the days when I didn’t have time to write a full-blown article.

There is a lot of good info being published out there in the alternative news space these days and not everyone is following it all or seeing the top articles. So, rather than listen to crickets chirping around here while I’m off working on top secret projects, I’ll give the links roundup thing another try.

Bird Flu “Engineered” and Spreading

Last fall, 162 harbor seal pups mysteriously washed up dead on the shores of New Hampshire and Massachusetts. Puzzled, scientists conducted autopsies on five of the animals, which suggested that a respiratory infection had killed them.

Samples of the seals’ tissue were then analyzed further and a common virus was discovered: a new strain of influenza that appeared to have evolved from H3N8, a bird flu virus first isolated in North American ducks in 2002.

Collusion Between Pharmaceutical Industry and Government Deepens

There’s no shortage of stories detailing conflicts of interest—so many in fact that you may be getting sick and tired of hearing of them. However, this is a truly important issue that must be tackled, and one of the ways of doing that is by exposing it to the harsh light of day. As long as people remain unaware, or turn a blind eye, it will continue unabated.

The price we pay for not paying attention is the loss of health, as the information disseminated by grossly compromised health agencies is skewed in favor of various industries, with Big Pharma leading the pack as one of the most powerful political and governmental influences.

25 Mind-Blowing Crimes Committed By Big Banks

  1. Funding the Nazis
  2. Laundering money for terrorists
  3. Financing illegal arms deals, and funding the manufacture of cluster bombs (and see this and this) and other arms which are banned in most of the world
  4. Launching a coup against the President of the United States
  5. Handling money for rogue military operations
  6. Laundering money for drug cartels. See this, this, this and this (indeed, drug dealers kept the banking system afloat during the depths of the 2008 financial crisis)

Insane Amount of Militarized Police for Peaceful Protests in Anaheim

Anaheim, CA continues to be the site for a wave escalating police brutality protests following the chaos that ensued after the shooting of unarmed Manuel Diaz. It has since come to light that Diaz was shot in the leg and the back of the head. The following day, Joel Acevedo was allegedly killed by police while already in handcuffs. These latest incidents have led to lawsuits and calls for federal investigation.

The Nostalgia Effect and Non Linear Time

No doubt many of you have seen the emails going around about the days of yore being so great. They all either say outright or strongly imply, ”Weren’t the 50′s (or whenever) innocent compared to now?”

No, they weren’t. WE were young and innocent. The times weren’t. As always.

Of course it was a different world and I don’t want to sound cynical, but let’s have a little reality check here. Yes it was perhaps not as obvious and draconian as it is today, although that’s arguable since it’s all relative, but the same processes were under way then as they are now.

Big time.
